We know that getting married in Lander essentially makes this a destination wedding for those of you who live anywhere else. Making the investment to travel to Wyoming for the weekend is a huge gift! Thank you. 

We chose to get married at home because we feel so blessed to live in such a wonderful community and wanted our Lander family of friends to be able to join us for our wedding. We know that many of you in town will be lending a hand to make our celebration possible. Your help is a huge gift! Thank you.

Whether or not you are able to join us for the wedding or help out, we would treasure any guidance, humor and/or wisdom you feel inspired to share with us as we embark on this adventure together. Your well-wishing is a huge gift! Thank you.

Please resist the temptation to give us a more tangible or traditional gift. Nothing is sacred when it comes to Anna's powers of divestment-- just ask her family, who have weathered years of thoughtful presents ending up at local thrift stores. Anna even gave away her engagement ring (before seeing the error of her ways)! We don't want your gift to risk the same fate.

If you feel moved to give us something beyond your love and support to mark this passage in our lives, a contribution to our ongoing creation of a home and commitment to exploring the world together would be more meaningful to us than a wrapped present. Nesting feeds Anna's soul-- she can't wait to renovate the pantry and plant aspens and lilacs around our house. Investing in experiences will always be Evan's first choice-- whether that's canyoneering in Spain for our honeymoon or finding a ski set-up that allows us to enjoy the winter wonderland around us together.

The bottom line is thank you. Thank you for being a part of our community. Thank you for bearing witness to our commitment to each other (whether you are able to be there for the ceremony or not). Thank you for the many ways in which you inspire, counsel, entertain, and care for us. We feel so blessed to have you in our lives.
